High Surf Advisory issued December 24 at 9:25AM PST until December 27 at 11:00AM PST by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA
WHAT: Large breaking waves of 6 to 10 feet with dangerous rip
currents.
WHERE: Ventura County Beaches, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles
County Beaches.
WHEN: Until 11 AM PST Saturday.
IMPACTS: There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Minor to potentially isolated moderate
coastal flooding for south-facing beaches especially during
high tides. This is expected to occur through Thursday due to
strong southerly winds.

Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay
near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in
such conditions, stay off the rocks.
