Very coldtemperatures this weekend will cause river ice to expand incoverage. Ice jams will be possible in isolated areas along theRock, Fox, Des Plaines, and Kankakee rivers into early next week.Ice jams may cause rises on area rivers with little warning.Warmer temperatures may return to the area by late next week, whichcould begin a slow melt of river ice.This outlook means that elevated water levels and potential impactsare possible, but not yet certain.
