Coastal Flood Advisory

Coastal Flood Advisory issued October 13 at 2:36PM PDT until October 14 at 4:00PM PDT by NWS San Francisco CA
Oct 13, 2:36 PM → Oct 14, 4:00 PM
WHAT: Up to 0.8 ft of inundation above ground level is
possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

WHERE: Bayshore locations along the San Pablo Bay.

WHEN: Until 4 PM PDT Wednesday.

IMPACTS: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only
isolated road closures expected. High tides will result in
flooding along coastal trails, cut off access to some low-
lying beaches and coastal areas, and bring water and waves
farther up the beach than typical. Dangerous conditions are
forecast along the shoreline. Hazards include sneaker waves,
strong rip currents, and large breaking waves.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: At the San Francisco tidal gauge, high tide
is expected to be 0.8 ft above normal (6.62 ft MLLW) at 1:46 PM
Wednesday 10/14. This prediction includes up to 0.9 ft of surge
that will enhance the astronomical tide and flooding threat.
High tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along the
Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay, respectively.
