WHAT: Heat index values up to 104 degrees expected.
WHERE: In Delaware, New Castle County. In New Jersey, Mercer,
Camden, Gloucester, and Northwestern Burlington Counties. In
Pennsylvania, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lower
Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties.
WHEN: From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT Friday.
IMPACTS: Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Some showers and thunderstorms late this
afternoon and again late Friday afternoon will provide some local
relief from the heat, however it will still remain very humid. It
will then turn much less humid this weekend in the wake of a cold
front.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
