Wabash River at Lafayette down to Riverton.
.Lowland flooding will continue along the Wabash River this week.
The crest is near Terre Haute...but will not reach Vincennes until
this weekend. Minor flooding should end by this weekend on the upper
Wabash...but is expected to continue into early next week on parts
of the middle and lower Wabash. Dry weather is expected into
Thursday.
WHAT: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
WHERE: Wabash River at Lafayette.
WHEN: Until Saturday morning.
IMPACTS: At 12.0 feet, Water may approach a couple low county
roads.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- At 10:30 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 11.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:30 AM EDT Tuesday was 14.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 12.9 feet tomorrow morning.
It will then fall early tomorrow afternoon. It will rise to
12.9 feet early Thursday morning. It will then fall below
flood stage Friday evening.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
