WHAT: Very cold wind chills as low as 20 to 30 below.

WHERE: Anchorage / Eagle River (all elevations).

WHEN: Until noon AKST Thursday.

IMPACTS: The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 15 minutes.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The combination of gusty winds and cold
temperatures will keep wind chills between 10 and 20 below zero
through this evening. Temperatures are then expected to fall below
zero overnight with wind chill values falling to between 20 and 30
below zero. Winds will slowly diminish Thursday morning as
temperatures climb back above zero.
