Dangerous rip currents. WHERE: Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands, Ventura CountyBeaches, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches. WHEN: Until 11 PM PDT Tuesday, peaking Monday afternoon throughTuesday morning. IMPACTS: There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Ripcurrents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Largebreaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches androcks, and capsize small boats near shore.
