The combination of patchy light snowfall and rapidly falling
temperatures has allowed for black ice to form on untreated
roadways. Sheltered and elevated surfaces will be most likely to
have black ice, but caution should be used on all roadways as
conditions can deteriorate rapidly over short distances given the
patchy nature of snowfall. Temperatures will not rise above
freezing, so the Thursday morning commute could be affected for
any untreated areas.
