Flood Watch

Flood Watch issued June 5 at 3:54PM CDT until June 6 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE

WHAT: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

WHERE: Portions of southwest Iowa, including the following county,
Pottawattamie and Nebraska, including the following counties,
Butler, Cass, Douglas, Gage, Lancaster, Sarpy, Saunders and Seward.

WHEN: From 7 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning.

IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings
may be flooded.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- A band of heavy rain is expected to develop late this evening and
linger into early Saturday morning. Localized rainfall amounts of
2 to 4 inches are expected and could lead to flash flooding.
