WHERE: Portions of south central and southwest New Mexico,including Sierra, Dona Ana, Luna, and eastern Grant Counties andthe Sacramento Mountains in northern Otero County. WHEN: Through late tonight. IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, arroyos, low water crossings, and other low-lying andflood-prone locations. ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - 24-hour rainfall observations shows a wide swath of 1-2" acrossmuch of south-central New Mexico. High soil moisture will allowrunoff to occur quickly with any additional rounds of rain.Thunderstorms are expected to track north across the Watch areaThursday night into Friday morning, leading to localized flashflooding.
