WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
WHERE: Brown County in south central Indiana...
Monroe County in south central Indiana...
Northeastern Greene County in southwestern Indiana...
Southeastern Owen County in west central Indiana...
WHEN: Until 700 PM EDT Wednesday.
IMPACTS: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
passable.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- At 1257 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen today.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area. Road closures from flooding have been
reported on State Road 45 between Trevlac and Bean Blossom.
